About Me:
I’m never quite sure how to start these things, but I suppose it might be important to tell you upfront that I’m a really opinionated guy. Not in an abrasive way, but I’ve been told I’m sort of like a human encyclopedia because I know a lot of things that many people don’t or wouldn’t expect me to know. I suppose this is because I’ve always read a lot and have an excellent memory. I’m one of those exceptionally inquisitive people with a need to gather as much information and knowledge about everything as quickly as possible. If I find something I’m interested in, I’m very driven to go out and learn on my own.
I’m an International Academy of Design and Technology Class of 2009 Alumni. I'll actually be graduating in November, somewhere near the top of my class I believe. Although I'm just about to receive the graphic design degree, I have much more experience than the typical recent graduate. In fact, the majority of projects I feature in my portfolio are the result of freelance opportunities I was awarded and completed while attending IADT. I decided to enroll at IADT in September of 2008, nearly four months after being laid off from my position as a Sr. CADD Technician with Cubellis, Inc., a large Architecture and Engineering firm based in Boston, MA. My exceptional CADD skills and work ethic proved no match for a quickly deteriorating economy and the eventual fallout of the commercial land development industry. I found myself stuck and knew that the outlook for the job market in that field would not be improving anytime within the next couple of years. I had already completed a number of credits in graphic design at Northern Essex Community College and decided to find out what it would take to get my degree from IADT. I was so impressed with the format that I was enrolled within a week of my first contact with their admissions office. One year later I find myself ready to graduate and embark upon a new, more fulfilling career doing something that I absolutely love.
In addition to a solid education in Graphic Design I bring years of technical skills to the table as a result of my time spent in architecture and engineering. I felt comfortable in my abilities even before entering school, but IADT really helped to refine my design skills and improve my craftsmanship beyond anything I could have ever expected. My obsessive attention to detail has helped me to excel during my time at IADT and also enhance the quality of work in the many freelance projects I have completed along the way. I look forward to a very successful and rewarding career in Graphic Design and hope to learn as much as possible from anyone I work with moving forward.

29 Incredible Black and White Photographs of Cityscapes | CreativeFan

Cities look amazing in black and white. A lack of color adds definition to cityscapes, making the straight lines of roads and skyscrapers appear crisp and distinct. Black and white photography does more than simply mirror the greyness of the urban jungle landscape, it brings urban morphology and architecture into clear focus.
